The first annual community barbecue was held on August 3, 1941, to celebrate the completed Church. It has been held every summer since then on the last Sunday in June, and has become a popular area-wide event.
The Sixty-Ninth Annual Bondurant BBQ, held on June 27, 2010, was a great success.
