We extend a very big CONGRATULATIONS to Hazel Halling for the appointment of "Senior of the Year" from her friends in the area.
Hazel truly is one of a kind and deserves the recognition this award gives her. She has always been there for anyone needing anything and we love her dearly!!!
The Holiday schedule is as follows:
The Club will provide turkey and ham. A signup sheet will be at the Bondurant Post Office for side dishes.
Workday will be Thursday, December 10th at 10:00 a.m. to decorate the church. Please let Santa's helper, Gloria Thomas, know if your kids will be attending.
At St. Hubert the Hunter Episcopal Church.
The September "Apple Butter Festival" was a BIG success and was attended by over 60 people eating fried chicken and all the yummy side dishes brought by friends and neighbors.
Thanks to Cindy and Michael Peters for hosting the event and for bringing that fantastic big slide from the Pinedale Aquatic Center for the kids to play on for hours. Horseshoes and volleyball games kept lots of folks busy thru the afternoon. The band "Legends" played for hours -and donated their fee to the cause!!
The event was held in lieu of the annual "Dinner Out" held in the recent years. The Library fundraiser - cooking the apple butter all day and canning for folks to take home - was the highlight of the day and thanks to all who came to take their turn stirring. The apple butter was wonderful and all took home at least one jar for the hard work!!
We have raised over $14,000.00 for the Library restoration project to begin next summer. The Library committee will be mailing out information during the winter months asking for support - PLEASE send money!!!
