Tips:
Each letter should be individual and personal (don't follow the list below in the same order, we don't want our letters to appear as form letters). Tell how this will personally impact you or why you are passionate about our school remaining open.
Highlight the fact that Pinedale Elementary is 50 miles away. If our school is closed then our young children will have to ride a bus for over an hour in good weather. Our children will have to ride a bus during months of cold and darkness with the dangers of a steep mountain pass (the Rim).
Highlight that a lot of our parents work in Jackson, so if our children are in school in Pinedale, then the parents will be over 77 miles away from their children. This will be a difficult situation for parent involvement with their child's education and activities and when a child gets sick etc.
Plus we have a really nice facility that will be left to sit empty.
