Log Restoration and New Roof Planned, Autumn 2011

2011 brings additional good news: through funds raised by the Library Committee events and a very generous grant provided by the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming, restoration work will continue in the autumn of 2011.

Phase 2 will include continuing exterior Log restoration work, and a new metal roof. All as prescribed by the Condition Assessment and Stabilization Recommendations report.

Library Restoration Committee

In July 2009, the all-volunteer Library Restoration Committee was formed to coordinate the hoped-for salvage operation. The Committee's goals:

to stabilize the building and protect it from further deterioration
to restore the building to its original condition
to enhance its function for the community's benefit
to accomplish these tasks while respecting the building's historical character and maintaining its historic designation as determined by the interested government agencies
