The Committee announced its intention to solicit competitive bids and requested contractor referrals. In late autumn 2009, three qualified contractors were asked to submit bids for the worst case scenario.
The current restoration project focuses on stabilizing the building and preventing any further deterioration.
The low bid for the salvage operations (stabilize and protect) came in at approximately $92,000.
The Episcopal Diocese has been asked to provide a "matching fund" grant of up to $50,000.
The remainder must be raised by the community in the form of private donations, fund raisers, grants, etc.
One of our dear neighbors primed the pump by contributing a check for $10,000 to the Library Fund! Soon thereafter, several hundred dollars were raised at the Fall Festival, and miscellaneous contributions bring our total Library Fund to-date (May 8, 2010) to approximately $26,000!
Funds required: $24,000. How can you help? See below for some ideas...
Read a book - and pass it on! Bring your used books to LuAnne, or Courtney at the Bondurant Post Office. They will sell them to the Jackson Hole Book Trader to benefit the Library Fund.
2010's Heritage Days will feature the inaugural Silent Auction to benefit the Library. Donate a worthy item to the Auction, or attend the Auction and bid for your favorite items. All proceeds benefit the Library Fund.
Contact a BCC Officer, Board Member or Director. Let them know that you support efforts to stabilize and restore the Library.
Attend BCC meetings and VOTE to support the Library.
Stout hands and agile minds are needed. We anticipate that the volunteer efforts which built the Church and Library will be necessary to bring the Library back to life.
You can help. There will come a time when we must all pitch in to remove the current furnishings (refrigerators, tables, collections) to enable the contractor to do his job. Stout hearts and strong backs are needed. Please contact a committee member.
ATTEND BCC FUND RAISERS! Enjoy a good time at the BBQ, Heritage Days, and the Fall Festival. Opportunities will abound for your participation and donations.

Contributions made to St. Hubert's Library Fund shall be returned to donors should the project fail to materialize (as determined by the Bondurant Library Restoration Committee).

Donations of $10,000 or greater shall be noted on a commemorative plaque displayed in the renovated building. All donors shall be celebrated at the ribbon cutting ceremony.
